Wild dog and predator tracking

Wild dogs — Cape hunting dogs, or painted dogs for their tri-coloured coats — are a Madikwe speciality. They are among Africa's most successful hunters and remarkably cooperative animals: they regurgitate food for their pups and even for the babysitters left at the den.

They cover enormous distances when hunting, so finding them is genuine tracking work. Madikwe also carries lion, leopard, cheetah and brown hyena.
